Dear EditorThe National Cancer Research Institute (NCRI) was a much loved UK-based charity, that accelerated the pace of cancer research. The NCRI brought together researchers, clinicians, and patients to identify the most important research questions and to develop and deliver research that would improve the lives of people with cancer. The UK needs a national cancer research body that can coordinate cancer research across the country, and that can provide a framework for clinical and patient feedback
