Windows 11, with different ads now popping up in the Start menu. Being told to sign up for a Microsoft account is a sensitive point for some folks, too, who don’t want anything to do with it, and just want their OS to be a standalone piece of software (as much as it can be) that’s not further meshed into Microsoft’s ecosystem. That’s not fair, and some might argue a cynical way of cajoling less tech-savvy folks into signing up for a Microsoft account (or whatever else the ad might be pushing)
