Ukraine to open ten new embassies in African countriesVolodymyr Zelenskyy (Photo:president of Ukraine)Seeking to “reboot” its relations with much of the African continent, Ukraine will open embassies in ten African countries, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said during his address to the Conference of Ambassadors of Ukraine on Dec. 23.“We are rebooting relationships with dozens of countries in Africa,” said Zelenskyy.We have already determined ten counties where new Ukrainian embassies in Africa will be opened.”Zelenskyy added that Ukraine has also developed a concept of Ukraine-Africa trading house.“In addition to the existing representation of Ukraine in ten African countries, along with new embassies and trading houses, we must achieve representation in thirty countries on the African continent,” the president said.In August, after the unblocking of food exports as a part of the UN World Food Program, the first grain ship with Ukrainian produce arrived to Africa, since the beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine."
