In the frenetic run-up to Amazon's second Prime Day sales event of the year, Amazon warehouse workers say their new raises aren't enough to combat encroaching inflation or quell discontent over heavy workloads, according to dozens of internal messages from warehouse employees obtained by Insider.Dozens of comments posted on an internal messaging board by Amazon workers at an Orlando warehouse show that at least some workers there saw the raises as an affront."I appreciate how hard you work each and every day to deliver for our customers," an Amazon manager wrote in response to another comment about inflation."I know that the different changes in the economy can create uncertainty and challenges for our team … I am sorry that you do not feel valued based on these updates.""It's hard to be excited about $28 more per week in my case when Amazon spent hundreds of millions of dollars on the costliest TV series ever, and the company's founder is constructing the world's biggest sailing yacht," said one warehouse worker in Oklahoma, who asked not to be named out of concern the company would retaliate against him."
