Ukraine has sent almost half of its agricultural exports via grain corridor"Before Russia invaded Ukraine, 80-90% of all agricultural exports were delivered through seaports.To date, thanks to the corridor, more than 270 ships loaded with 6.2 million tonnes of cargo, accounting for 48% of the total agricultural export, have left Ukraine," Taras Vysotskyi, First Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, said, the Ministry's press service reports.Vysotskyi noted that Ukraine, together with its EU partners, managed to establish the uninterrupted operation of the corridor, which made it possible to resume food supplies to African countries."Together with EU partner countries, we have developed a joint plan on how to improve global food security.As reported, Ukraine, Turkey and UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres signed the initiative on the safe transportation of grain and food products from the ports of Odesa, Chornomorsk and Pivdenny at the proposal of the United Nations in Istanbul on July 22."
